Simple Description of U Section Butterfly Valve:

U-shaped butterfly valve is a wafer type valve with two flange ends. Unlike traditional double flange butterfly valves, although two integral flanges are cast as a whole on the valve body, the internal space between the two integral flanges is too small to be connected to the pipe flange bolts on both sides separately, and the structural length of the two end faces is relatively smaller. Therefore, when it is installed between two pipeline flanges, it needs to be connected by bolts. The cross-sectional view of this valve is similar to the capital letter "U", hence it is called a U-shaped section butterfly valve.

Design characteristics of U-shaped butterfly valve:

-Concentric disc design: Align the centerline with the centerline of the shaft.
-Pinned valve disc: By using a tapered pin, torque is transmitted from the shaft to the valve disc.
