What is lug butterfly valve ?
The lug-type butterfly valve can be driven by manual, worm gear, pneumatic or electric. The connection method can be flange or clamp. The structural form can be single eccentric, center line, double eccentric or triple eccentric. The sealing structure can be soft seal or hard seal. Sealed, the pressure range is PN0.1-10Mpa, the nominal diameter is DN40~2000mm, and the material can be cast steel or stainless steel.
Compared to the hard backed valve seat, the non-backed seat has a wider contact surface with the pipeline flange, better installation sealing performance, and does not require a dedicated flange for butterfly valves; The soft backed valve seat has strong replaceability and can be replaced without the need for any special tools; The wall thickness of the hard backed valve body is relatively thin, and the valve body is prone to deformation. The wall thickness of the soft backed valve body is greater than that of the hard backed valve body, and the valve body is heavier. Different external designs prevent deformation of the valve body. The vulcanization process of the soft backed valve seat is more complete, and there will be no phenomenon of immature rubber in the hard backed valve seat, making the rubber performance more reliable.
